You got it. Being based in the desert-like UK, Lucas apparently never foresaw that these vehicles would ever be used in damp climates. Accordingly, they only used grounds on painted surfaces, and all electrical connections were based on the twist-and-tape method
(Actually, I'm gonna tempt fate, if I'm not careful. In the 4 years I've had my D90, it's never failed to crank and run well)
