My office window looks out on lakeland drive. I got even less than usual done this morning because I've been watching a debachle of fairly large scale unfold since I got here.
8:00 AM - notice work truck stuck. Watch the guy try several methods of getting free. The best one was when he shoved a piece of rotten plywood under the back tire.
8:30 - driver gets frustrated and just wales on the throttle. Slightly stuck truck is way stuck now. Driver walks off.
9:00 - driver comes back with a friend and a tractor.
9:15 - tractor hooked up and stuck behind the truck. Unhook the tractor and got it unstuck.
9:20 - trying to drive the tractor around the truck, it gets stuck.
9:43 (now) still trying to get the tractor un stuck using the buckets. One rear tire is completly burried. The tractor is at a 45* angle.
I doubt my pics will come out very good but check it out:
Not even a mile from the river, which marks the jackson/flowood city limits. Holler at us if you are ever in town for a visit. We are always looking for an excuse to pitch a wang dang doodle.
Nice, will do next time we are there. I actually met Bodean while we were there a year ago. I was there again over Christmas 2008, passing through with the 60.
Now I just need to find a source for those hot dog octopi.
