I sent two new oil samples in to Cat/Finning for oil analysis. Been curious for a long while how they would stack up against known name brands.
While additive packs don't tell the whole story it is one way to compare oils. Would need a tribologist to interpret what differences mean. As always, its a snapshot of the composition at the time the same was taken and is always subject to formulation change or change of supplier. However, interesting data I thought.
Someone over at BITOG site has made a spreadsheet which totals and sorts the additive packs.
