Excellent choice. I assume that you've already seen this Expedition Portal thread: So I think the Michelin Defender is the perfect all-terrain tire...
In Oregon it's been nice to have the "severe snow" rating (which the KO2 has but Defender and regular LTX do not). It's the minimum to not require chains in some cases. I'd go back to Defenders if they did.

Here's what I looked like with 275/60-18 Defenders btw. I had just swapped rims with someone before buying the KO2s. Kinda silly looking with the lift but probably far more responsive, and frankly practical, up until we started pushing our luck in deep snow. Weighing the cost of a beat up 200 vs just undoing a bunch of the pork I've loaded onto this 100 and being happy, 37 lb Defenders seem like a solid tradeoff (now full circle, lol).

Another random note, it seems like they don't even make this 57 lb 265/75-18 KO2 any more. At least it's no longer on the pdf spec chart on tirerack.
