Update: I pulled the engine and tranny from the truck yesterday. I pulled out the spark plugs, shown here so that you can see that it's not an oil burner...

Complete 3FE for sale $500. Comes with all peripherals, Alternator, PS pump, AC/Compressor, Air Cleaner etc. A/C Compressor, water pump and alternator have been all replaced within the last 2-3 years. Parts alone are worth way more than what I'm asking.
This is a strong running, quick starting, extremely reliable used 3FE from a 1989 FJ62 with 245K miles. Extremely clean, well cared-for, uses very little oil (1qt/5000 miles).
It oozes a bit of oil, so I would recommend replacing seals and gaskets. Recently steam cleaned.
I'm doing a Vortec conversion for more power and better gas mileage, as I am retired and take long road trips in the summer. Otherwise, it seems to me that this motor would be good for at least 50-100K more miles, as it's been well cared-for and never abused.
It's still in the truck, I plan to pull it as early as next week, so if you would like to drive it, contact me ASAP.
