Had enough of work, took a week off and ran around San Juan/Rio Grande NF last week.
Some fun solo wheeling above Durango, Pagosa, and near Wolf Creek, plus a day chasing an 80 around silverton roads. Clearing wind falls is a whole lot more fun than the gym.

Also a test run for my new wore out tow rig

My buddy Mark... He works for San Juan NF, wanted to see conditions first hand. He skied a bunch of the slopes around Engineer.
There's a pretty big land slide on Engineer, sorry no pics

Just curious why you towed the Toy pickup instead of just driving it up there? It doesn't look like such a hardcore, built rig that it can't cruise to CO on its own.

Legit question
Largely to test the tow pig with something I could drive home with if needed (the Dodge is still somewhat of an unknown quantity in 90+ degree heat), and the tranny is getting rough on the pickup so good to keep a few miles off it where i can.
Also if I broke the pickup I could tow it back instead of having to field fix something up there.

nice pics

Beautiful up there - thanks for sharing!
