I think Bill used to work for Telus and lied to us about being a teacher. New members get all this cool free stuff, just like new Telus customers get free computers, but all us old, loyal, dedicated members...nothing but s*** and abuse :)

I will be on time , my lost and late issues have been solved

Jeff: Please accept my most sincere apologies for calling you Enema. Henceforth, you shall be known as Enteric.

And as for you Phantom, why do the bar girls refer to you as "Long Tongue"?

What happened, did someone attach a Low Jack to you? or did you get Onstar?

I'll be there.

Well kind of, I grew up in a hurry, see you there .

Calender

Hey Bill

Any chances of getting a 2008 calender somehow?

Glenn

Hey guys & gals,

I'll be at the meeting to help discuss some web ideas. I'll also buck up and join the club. After a couple months of searching it looks like my 2nd cruiser will be a JDM 1989 BJ71 13B-T so I will be trail ready in less than a month, finally. There has been plenty of cash put into Cruisers and I have yet to see anything but ashphalt:rolleyes:.

(Is it normal to already start eyeing up my 3rd?)

See you Thursday.

COASTAL CRUSER MEETING OCTOBER 11, 2007.

The usual group of suspects met at the Spike for Fish & Chips and the Mothers Of All Wraps at 6:00p.m. The actual CC meeting was delayed while numerous electricians dicked around with the clubhouse building electrical busses. Finally the meeting started about 8:30 when the lights finally came on.
Members present: Gary T, Rod McD, Kim R, Phil S, Rob Millson, Steve P, Steve T, Mat R, Rob C, Sopal, Aaron K, Marcin C, Al D, Paul K, Mike N, Drew E, Norm F, Jeff S, Bill W, Lisa S, James M, & John G.

-Item 1 was the Christmas Party on December 8 at the Elephant & Castle at the Delta Richmond Inn near the Vancouver airport. A road map will be posted on Mud in December. Tickets are $15. Each person for paid-up members and will include the meal and mezzanine rental. Meal will probably be appetizer, choice of turkey, beef, or Salmon, dessert, and coffee or tea. Booze and raffle tickets are purchased separately. We will have $1500. in raffle prizes, including some gender-neutral stuff like hair curlers, aprons, bunion pumice and Armstrong washboards. We will try to get a discount on hotel rooms like we did last year, as at least 5 members may want to stay the night. We will do a head count and meal choice in November.

-Item 2 was the proposal for a professional Coastal Cruiser website construction. We decided to go ahead with it. James M will undertake this effort and wants input from members. You may email him with your ideas, best photos only, and wish-list at bccoastalcruiser@gmail.com We are hoping that this new website will be the best cruiser site in existence anywhere in the galaxy.

-Item 3 was 2008 TLCA Cruiser Calendars. There is a thread here on Mud to indicate if you want a calendar. Otherwise, talk to Rob Millson.

-Item 4 was Cruiser Days 2008 plans. We have reserved July 19, 2008 at Deas Island Park and the Committee is Drew E, Steve T, Jeff S, Rob M, Rod McD, Marcin C, and Bill W.

-Item 5 4WDABC business was reported by John G who explained the association is primarily a political group now, rather than just a club. One of its missions is to promote off-road concerns to the appropriate government agencies and lobby for improvements. John also spoke about the IVOAC and noted that they need members and that they are challenging ICBC statistics as to the frequency of accidents of right hand drive vehicles.

-Item 6 was a Mount Cheam family-wheeling trip organized by Gary T and Bill W for Sunday, October 21. We will post a thread on Mud and those who wish to attend can let us know there.

-Item 7 was introducing new members James M and John G. Also renewal of membership for Lisa S and Jon C.

-Item 8 Phil S will look into the Societies Act of B.C.

-Item 9 Raffle winners: James M the Dremmel grinder accessories kit, John G the pneumatic shop seat, Sopal the slide hammer kit, Rob C the freezer pak, Drew E the “O” ring set and cord reel, Jeff S the camo tarp, Mat the fuse kit, Steve P the tree saver, Norm F the vacuum cleaner, Aaron K the slow moving sign and Canucks plaque, and Rob Millson the map CD.

The meeting broke up about 10:15 and all the Cruiser guys rushed right home to dream of Christmas Raffle prizes like the Porta-Power hydraulic set, the gas electric generator, the compressed air tank and the cool salad spinner, just to name a few.

P.S. There will be NO December CC monthly meeting because it is too close to the Christmas Party.
