2 of our members already have them... 1 of them already has it read :flipoff2:

where is this meeting? and where is the pub.
Thanks
Scott.

Its at EBI:
81 Moray Street
Port Moody
Kind of hard to miss. There will be a herd of Cruisers and the railway track. If you go over the railway track, well then you've got too much lift and too big of tires. :hillbilly: Pub is about a block away. Like Scalp says, supper until around 7:00 at the pub (never been as someone's gotta feed my kids) and "show and tell" at EBI until around 8:00. Bring your favorite refreshment, camp chair (unless you want to stand), lots of $$$ for the raffle, and a mega spot light if you want a good look at the finer details of someone's rig (otherwise a headlamp will suffice).

Well, I know better than to argue with a hard headed woman! :p
Are you talking about Alberta or B.C.? I should have said "among" the first in B.C.
How are you, we haven't heard from you in a while? :D

Hard headed, eh???? :bang:

I'm doing ok. Freezing my arse off today. Webasto no work. Block heater no work. The 73 started though today. I really need to go source out the loose connection (??) on the block heater, find a Webasto dealer in town and go get some synthetic oil.

:) thanks for asking...

:hillbilly:P.S. I don't come 'round these parts often anymore because rumour has it that this is the Nissan club corner now :flipoff2:

Oh, and make sure to drop the coutershaft before trying to remove the input shaft when you take apart your 5 speed. Or else this could happen....

Calenders....

Seeing as how I won't be able to make a meeting for the next 3 months, and I have my name in for one calender, would it be possible for Steve to have a few on hand? Then I can swing by there one day, as his shop is closest to me, and give me some extra incentive perhaps to get that rag top done finally.

Can't make it tonight.X2 for Steve to have one or two calenders on hand to pick up later.

COASTAL CRUISER MEETING JANUARY 10, 2008

Several members met for pub grub at the Spike before the meeting. We got out of there before the big crowd assembled for the pay-per-view Canucks hockey game. The noise level in there during games is deafening.
Members present: Scott P, Mat R, Kim R, Lisa L,Gary T, Steve T, Justin VanH, Greg VanT, Chris B, Mel C, Marcin C, Rob Cz, Craig E, Drew E, Norm F, John G, Paul K, Mike McT, Dan Mag, Rob Millson, Sopal, & Bill W. A big welcome to new CC member Scott P. Guests were Owen & Andrea.

First, we discussed the Christmas Party last month. Most agreed that it was a good time and the same location next year would be OK. Others suggested looking into the Sheridan Gillford so Sopal is going to look into that one to see if it looks at all suitable. We are still open to other location suggestions, speak to Gary T, Bill or Steve T.

Second item was stories about recent wheeling. John had been up near Princeton at the Placer Lake and Ashnola areas. The snow was pretty deep this year so it looks like only local wheeling will be the order of the day for the next few months.

We expect to go up East Harrison FSR on Saturday, Jan 19 and take a stab at Clear Creek or have a barbeque at the logging camp beach. Members interested in this are Kim, Mat, Greg, Justin, Scott, Gary T, Bill, and maybe Steve T.

As for long weekend camping/wheeling trips this year, ideas were for Roche Lake near Kamloops in July, and possibly Walker Valley, Washington. The May long weekend seems to be Big Bar or Churn Creek with a possible attempt at China Head. Other possibilities are Tupper Lake, Whipsaw, Mud & Swartz Lakes, Poison Mtn., Ashnola, Greystokes, and Nicola Lake, Bob Lake, & Douglas Lake areas. We are open to new suggestions now, speak to Gary T, Bill or SteveT.

Next item was TLCA Calendars. The pictures are fantastic and a big thanks to Rob Mullen, Norm F, and Rob Millson for pulling this effort together as they do every year. CC member Denny C got his BJ 42 photo in there this year thanks to Charla Downey’s magnificent photography.

Coastal Cruiser yearly dues are now due for about 20 members so let’s get them in at the February 14 meeting. There will be no dues increase again this year.

There was no report on 4WDABC because Jeff S was absent. We need someone to step forward to report 4WDABC meetings. John goes to some but can't always be there.

The raffle was a big success with way more prizes than normal. Many thanks to Rod McD for donating a gas electric generator, Rob Cz for 2 movies, and Marcin C for a safety harness and a spare wheel with a 31” tire mounted on it. ]
Winners: Gary got the spare 31”tire & wheel, Rob CZ the screw driver bit set, Mike McT the 2 folding saw horses, Paul the stubby wrenches, Steve T and Rob Cz got hats with LED lights, Dan M got the Land Cruiser “Transformer” toy, Sopel got adjustable wrenches, Marcin the safety triangle, Mat the gloves and disposable overalls, Scott the fake survelance camera and ratcheting box wrenches, John the tree-saver, Mel and Millson a wheeling movie, Lisa the safety harness, and Bill the generator.

The meeting broke up fairly early around 10 or 10:30 as it was getting cold enough to pucker an Oldsmobile grille in the shop. Good to see the guys & gals, and luckily or unluckily there was no snow on the way home. Next meeting Feb 14. BE THERE!
~Bill

Only if I had a Tucker, as there would be way too much snow there. Only went up to the top of Baldy Mnt near Pinceton with Gold Boy (Simon in his 74. Its considerably lower than Placer and Ashenola. Would like to do the Placer / Ashenola traverse as a club trip in late June or July if there is interest. Other wheeling was out on Weaver and Foley Lake FSR and up Sumas after Christmas. Works is getting in the way so only a couple thousand kms of highway wheeling and web wheeling for the next few weeks.:frown:
