Coarse spline to 30 spline in 69 FJ55?

Hello all,

I am in the process of buying a 69 FJ55 which i believe is coarse splined. If i'm going to put in a lock-rite locker and upgraded axles, can i just switch to 30 spline? I'm curious, because if there's no problem in doing this, I can potentially pick up a set of lockers cheap.

Hmm, anybody? It seems pretty straight forward, but I don't have the knowledge base to know for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the lockers you are looking at are for LC 9.5" thirds then you will be fine running them in both coarse and fine spline axles.The inner axle splines are the same on both
