Yeah, I'm pretty interested in how you use a fire extinguisher cylinder. Aren't the cylinder heads completely different?

And it's FLEA market.

I like FLEE. anyway, yes you need to replace the valve with a standard welding supply valve.

The welding place I went to refused to sell me a tank if I painted it. If I painted it they said they would not fill it cause it would not have some fire detector film on the tank.

The welding place I went to said there is a required sticker to show the contents of the tank.

I find it's a lot easier to swap tanks rather than wait for them to fill it (they send it out for 2-3 days).

I trade out tanks also with aluminum but they have been sticking me at $17.50 a fill for 10 pound tank. I found a old 10 pound tank and they took it on trade. Dont have to worry about retesting.

Got so engrossed that I forgot I was looking at a 2 year old thread

Since you resurrected it I'll throw up a couple of pictures of my $100 set-up

Is that a beverage regulator? Does it give enough volume flow? What type of tank is that? The bottom makes it look like you painted a 2 liter bottle!

Beverage regulator, 5# beer tapper tank.
Fills tires all day long with no flow rate problems. I probably couldn't seat a tire on a rim. But I can and do run my nailer with it.
