Ok, I promise I did my best to find the answer to this, but no luck. I have a 1980 HJ45 with the H diesel. I notice when I price Clutch kits for it that the "H" kit cost waaayyyy more than the 2H kit. My question is, are they interchangable? In my search, I heard several people talk about how the "older style" clutch in the H was sub-par to the 2H. Anybody else have issues sourcing this?

I think I saw your thread. From memory it is bulkier, but probably the high cost is from keeping a rarely needed part on the shelf.
You can get pics and specs on here. You can also compare them visually.

The parts diagrams say the flywheels are different, but you could probably swap them. They both take the same 6 bolts.
