ok long story will try to make it short. i put a head on a recently rebuilt block, i bought the head off ebay it whipped two cams.then the exhaust valve in #1 cylinder broke at the keeper and dropped into the cylinder. it fubared the piston and bent the rod. i tryed to replace the rod using the exsiting bearing and it spun the bearing in about a month. so i pulled the engine out of my 86 parts rig (have a thread about that re gasget and a little more) it had a blown head gasget. so i tore it down cleaned it up andput all new gasgets on it. i installed it last week. started it and went to take a test drive. when i pushed the clutch in it would not go in gear so i thought i might have the clutch in backwards. well i just got finished pulling the engine and checking the clutch it was in right. but my truck still will not go in any gear when you push the clutch pedal. how ever you can switch gears (with the engine running) with out pushing the clutch. also if i put it in reverse then push the clutch it it kind of wants to move . but only rocks backwards. so does any one out there know what the hell is going on.
oh and i have a centerforce clutch i have had it since 1998 and the disc looks fine.
also i drove it into my garage last week with a spun bearing and the clutch and trans worked fine.
