As most of you know, I'm building up a '71 with a 5.3 chevy & H55 trans. Question, what is the best clutch master cylinder, for this. I have one, off my '69, but it's condition is unknown. Also, what about slave cylinders, any year better than others.

Thanks in advance, Ron

pre 84 slave has adjustable push rod, which is a bonus. what year bellhousing are you using? My guess would be any master coupled to a pre 84 slave.....stay tuned for more advice.

stay with a fifty five series master that will bolt onto you firewall w/o mods. I don't know if the 60 series master or even the later pigs, have the same bolt pattern as your 69, but I know there is a change in late 84 to a different pattern which is not a bolt up when trying to swap across the change-over line......ask how I know:doh:

Well, I'm useing the Advance Adapters Bellhousing, 5.3 chevy to a H55 transmission. I have the stuff, off my '69, but it will need to be rebuilt or buy new.

edit: this is going on my "71, shouldn't make a difference thou.
