I am planning on being there with the better half:princess:

Would someone be able to join up at the run on the 29th? I mean officially join ALCA?

Men,

I'm still planning on making this trip so long it's not too awful cold. I'm just running the soft top with half doors on the 40 still. Will be bringing the grandson for his first wheeling trip so I'll be taking it kinda easy (blacks only, no red trails). He's only six and calls everything a heep so this should be a good indoctrination for him!

Even if it's cold, we'll likely show up and may bail early.

Looking forward to seeing ya again, Hildy!

Hey, he's not too young to learn. My nephew is 6 and he only called the 80 a Jeep once. I corrected him and he now calls it a Land Cruiser! If we don't drive it when we see him, he always asks, "Where's the Land Cruiser?"

Wheeling

Been busy, but I should be there! Want to just do the fun easy things!
Hoping to have one or both of the kids along!

Craig

This sounds really interesting...

I'm only doing the pansy stuff. I can't afford to blow another front diff.

I'd be up for some easy stuff. :o

Got the beast trail ready today! Can barely even tell the locker is back there onroad either, but didn't get to test it on the trails yet. See you guys on the trails soon and have a happy turkey day!

hey hildy can you take a 2f distributor to the park for me?...i wont be able to make it there saturday, toddslater wants it, let me know

Hey, if Todd's gonna be there, have him take you to the best pork sausage I've ever had when you leave on Sunday morning. It's a local restaurant on 443?

I refuse to put the top on the 40, yes I am a fat lazy fair weather wheeler when it comes to wrestling the top on and off by myself. So, if I do post up for the run (50/50 odds at this point) I'll be either bringing Pigwald or some other asphalt only suitable wheeler...and hence be riding shotgun...or drinking beer in the campground...both noble acts of course. I'm trying to rectify this situation by breathing some life back into the rusty POS pig that I picked up from Jeff. The distributor is just one such little necessity (of many) for that little project. But when done, I'll not be bothered by such things as ice, snow and/or frigid temps in a topless 40.

On the 50% chance I don't make it...anybody going that will be coming back anywhere nearish Kennett Square that could bring the aformentioned distributor back down this way ?

That was some tasty pork sausage....not worth freezing my ass off driving the 40 up...but pretty close !!! Recall "fat" is the first descriptor used that I identify with !!!

8am... oof. That'll be a 3 hour drive from Brooklyn. I'd have to be up at 4!

Gonna look into local lodging.

lodging near rausch

I have stayed at the Comfort Inn in Pine Grove and highly recommend it. They have a continental breakfast, is very clean, has a nice pool, and they give a better rate if you tell them you're with the Rausch Creek Toyota group. There are two gas stations right near the Comfort Inn, as well as McDonalds and Arby's. The Comfort Inn is ten minutes from Rausch right off exit 100 of interstate 81. Hope this helps- see ya Saturday!!!! Gary

Shirts and stuff

I will bring some XL shirts, I still have a few. Also have some neat Cruise Moab and such shirts will bring all the stuff with me. Today I loaded up Tom Humphries' Old Man Emu suspensions stuff for his 70, and will be bringing some running boards for Bill Smith's 40. Weather forecast is sunny with some clouds highs in the upper fortires. if it's as nice as this afternoon was I'll be thrielld. See ya Saturday!!!! Gary S

Thanks Gary! Yours doors are loaded and ready too! Hittin the road around 4 to be on time - I hope!

Men,

I'm down hard with the flu. It came on Thursday morning around 3 am. The hurling has left me with no voice, and we won't even talk about the pain I'm suffering "in the southern region".

Hope you all ate enough turkey for me. I'm definatly out for tomorrow.
