Usual business meeting at Toyota South (Motor Mile) at 7pm.

Sources indicate roads are relatively clear, so let's proceed with meeting! Some like to meet at Ivywild beforehand, 6-7 for dinner/snacks.

Topics for discussion:
June trail cleanup with CSC4W on 8 June
Reschedule of Medano Pass trail ride
Update on Cruisin' n Brewsin'
Will high country trails open this summer? LOL

Summary of meeting:

We talked about rescheduling the Medano Pass trail ride. I will keep watch on the Great Sand Dunes NP webpage to see when the road opens (assume sometime in June). We can plan the trail ride for a weekend "addition to" the monthly trail ride for June, July, or August.

Next Scheduled Trail Rides: June 15, Greenhorn Mountain; July 6, Hayden/Hermit Pass; July 20 Mosquito Pass

We talked about joining Colorado Springs Christian 4-Wheelers for the Old Stage/Gold Camp area trail cleanup on June 8.

Cruisin' for Brewsin' (car show type event) is Sunday, August 4; proceeds to benefit CORE (Colorado Offroad Enterprise)

No news on website renewal--talked about obtaining a new domain (.org, .net, etc.)

@twbland gave a report on Cruise Moab 2019; he said the event was well-run and had some features that seemed well-thought-out. For example, there were multiple raffles which were vehicle series-specific; you could buy raffle tickets for the vehicle type that you own. A raffle with 100 stuff, a separate raffle with 80 stuff, a separate raffle with 40 stuff, etc.

Treasury/financial note--club account balance unchanged since April; we have Colorado Assn dues (approximately $250) to pay, and we are going to make a donation to the Mission Wolf in June during the Greenhorn Mountain trail ride/campout. Lastly, we are going to have small raffles and "door prizes" at the next few trail rides and the Cruisin' event; stuff like recovery equipment, etc.

And why a donation to mission wolf, whatever that is?

We went to Mission Wolf last year (March/April?) as part of our "exploration" outing to Gardner and Greenhorn Mountain (which was seasonally closed to June 15th, but we didn't know that).

The experience is beyond description. This is a genuine 30-year "grass roots" effort, not a commercial venture like others elsewhere.

That answers one question.

The main question remains and that is why is the Club making a contribution to this group?

If people want to make a donation out of their own pocket, good for them. Club dues should not be going to this. We should be supporting trail advocacy or similar if the Club wants to make a donation from Club dues.
