Hi 4rnr, yes indeed that is my POS with the unpainted fiberglass fenders. I'm Lorax on some boards (or was back in the day when I used to post more... and 2400 baud was kickin'). Tell Goebs he needs to give me those tires 'n wheels...
I'll call tomorrow and see what conditions are like, help me decide whether to go Sunday. I won't be in that 4runner, it's slipping to badly, I'll be in my 80.

Did you get the trans temp issue settled yet John?

My FJC is still in the shop. I'm going to start demanding conjugal visits soon!

Yeah I changed the trans from a 340h to a 340f and threw the 3.4L in while I was in there:grinpimp:

I also planned to call Tom tomorrow just to see what the park is like. But im going reguardless of conditions.

Talked to Tom he said the Cliffs hasnt seen rain in a week!! So the trails should be nice and tacky!

yep weather sounds great, should be alot of fun.
Unfortunately, I've decided to bail this time. I'm going to aim for May 31st/June 1st (NOT memorial day weekend, which is the weekend before). I can't manage two wheeling weekends in one month, and my Pinzgauer bud Richard is pushing hard to go ASAP.
I hope I can see some of you there soon-- I haven't nailed the 31st/1st date down yet, but hope to by next weekend.
Phil/Archie/Rob, as well as those going this Sunday, let me know if the 31st/1st is open. The next open weekend after that for me is June 14/15, and then not until mid-July. If we push it back enough, I'll have my 4Runner ready (I'm getting motivated to get'r done, spend some late week-nights, hopefully the baby'll be sleeping better then).

Lame

keep the 25,26,27th open of July for The Chicago Toyota Jamboree @ the cliffs. I just picked up another sponsor (Advanced auto parts)

I should be up there around 900-930.....looks like I'm bringing the FJC...I couldn't get the 40 finished in time...

I'm open anytime that weekend Kenton. I'll be on vacation then and am free. Give me about a weeks notice and I'll be good. I've already informed the events coordinator that weekend is now booked for me.

My steel is here so I should have at least some sliders on the 62 by then. I'm trying to figure out if I should weld or bolt them to the frame. Brian you want that set of sliders for the FJC? I'll have them ready for you.

Hey Slacker...I'll call ya!

Looks like you all had fun! I'm quite jealous! I wouldn't have made it too far in the park any way! While doing my trans flush, I noticed one of my brand spanking new axle seals took a dump on me! I got gear oil all over the brakes and tire! Another birf job! Thank goodness I bought 2 birf kits!

I also noticed that the transfer case is leaking a little more than it was. Looks like I need new gaskets for that too!

Hey Cub fan! Try to call me before noon. My afternoons are booked solid at work this week. I finally get to meet the beady eyed fed tomorrow.
