I bought one of these wood handled hori hori knives a few years ago and threw it in the gardening cart. It instantly became my go-to for pretty much everything gardening- digging, cutting bags and roots, threatening people who bother me while outside:) really useful tool.

I was afraid my hand would slip down the blade because there’s no guard but the wood grips well. some of the other tools have guards.

Thanks. I picked up three last time thanks to you. Gave one to the neighbor with the green thumb, kept two for me. They're pretty cool and work well.
