Found this yesterday. My other tubs always had issues. It is like cheese wiz RTV. It was awesome to use. Time will tell how it lasts.
 
@k9crazy let me use something similar to that in Clayton after f'ing with those c-clips you love. It's the s***.

Yep. Now a standard item in my tool box.
 
Can anyone (I'm thinking a @Bossman or a @wngrog has to have come across one) tell me what this tool is? It's about 12" long and all of these toothed plates spin independently.

There's one of those in my parent's basement shop and I probably knew at some point in my curious youth, but don't recall now.
 
Those protrusions on the head end make me think that it was used as some type of lever
 
Though it looks very similar to a strap wrench, that is actually a tool used to dress (or flatten) a grinding stone on a bench grinder. Damn I'm old.

And we have a floor standing bench grinder in the basement, so that explains its presence. Mystery solved @Bossman!
 
Dang I was hoping for something kinky. Oh well...
