Colorado Springs CO
Meet at the Divide Philips 66 at 7:45 am. Leave at 8:15 and go to Gunsmoke at Johnson Village (US 24 and US 285). Gas and bio stop, additional meetup place. Leave at 9:30 for trails.

The actual location is intentionally vague. In the past, the people that proposed the schedule did not show up for the run that they proposed. The actual trail will be decided by the participants.

Trail suggestions: Four mile area, Browns canyon, Aspen ridge, something that the participants decide.

Summary, 8 vehicles, 16 people, 161 hours.

I plan to come on this run, too.

The road that goes down to Brown's Canyon (FSR 300, Bald Mountain Gulch, Salida Ranger District) does not require an OHV Permit, according to Stay the Trail Colorado; but FSR 300B and 300B-1 (Bald Mountain Loop) does.

Little Cottonwood Creek, FSR 185D, has a seasonal closure (opens May 1st), as does Aspen Ridge (FSR 185).

This link is to the updated list of "OHV designated trails" that full-size vehicles need an OHV Permit:

@COS80 the link/list that LCPilot mentions is the comprehensive list of all routes in the Pike San Isabel National Forests and Cimmaron/Commanche National Grasslands (PSICC). PSICC covers about 1/10 of Colorado, if I remember correctly (it's not a list of the routes in the entire state). Other National Forests include Arapaho/Roosevelt, White River, Gunnison, Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, etc.

The link I posted shows the routes where an OHV Permit is required. This list is statewide. I don't see an "as of" date on it but I think it is updated for 2026.

Thanks.

The other big takeaway from that list is the number of closures under consideration. 👎

Yes, we would love to have you join us. We’ll be meeting up at the station in divide or you can join us at the gunsmoke truckstop in Johnson Village. Please let us know where we should expect you.

It was a hot day in the Fourmile area! Nice easy trails and beautiful scenery--thanks everyone for coming out to ride.

Some of the trails we wanted to run were in the seasonal closure area.
