Josh decided to take a most interestin' return route to the main trail from that optional climb ...

proceedin' to hang the RokBus hard on 'er belly ...

and totally, completely, and spectacularly grenadin' the s*** outta the passenger front outer on the Dana 60.

We winched it off the rock and Josh tore into it. Had a spare outer but couldn't install it cuzz the old one was blown-up and stuck real bad inside that big, round metal piece it's suppossed to slide out of. So he slapped 'er back together without it and eased 'er down the mountain ... several hours later. :D

Slap outta patience and plum tired of waitin' on us ... here's the lovely Ms. Sherry desperately tryin' to call a cab to get 'er off the top of that damn mountain. :grinpimp::flipoff2::grinpimp:

So me and Debbie follered Josh back to his trailer at the Horse Ranch while the rest of the group went up and out on Rock Creek. Since Debbie was doin' all the shootin' with the camera ... ain't got no pics of that part of the day. :frown:

Bryan was in camp at the Inn when we got there and went with Josh to track down Slim in town to get the blown outer removed. They had fits but got 'er done and Josh rebuilt 'er in camp for the next day.

Speakin' of the next day ... ain't got no pics of that neither since Debbie forgot the friggin' camera. :o

But ...

Joined by Dusty/Tommy, Bryan, and the Dixons we had a great time runnin' some familiar trails in Green Acres like Wet-N-Wild, Jeff's Ledges, and Cakewalk. Small group of big trucks made for a DAMN fine day of wheelin'.

Bryan's buggy, of course, made us all look stupid ...

The Dixon's argued their way ... while the mini fought it's way ... over the trails ... sportin' a hideous paint job and plenty of NOS drinks for the publicity shots ...

Dusty put on his traditional BIG show with the awesome horsepower and suspension of The Grape Ape ...

Daryl had to break his rear driveshaft just so he'd feel like he was wheelin' ...

Roger did great in the "little" truck of the group ... managing to keep up very well ... while only breakin' the passenger hub.

Josh went ahead and broke the outer on the driver's side also ... but did a trail repair and kept goin' ... sometimes runnin' on a few cylinders shy of a half-dozen though ...

When the rock dust settled ... we were all sittin' 'round a huge Daryl-built bonfire ... tryin' to eat our way thru enough food for an army ... and drink ourselves silly ...

And there's more to come on Sunday ...

:flamingo:

Like Saturday, Sunday mornin' broke with skies of blue.

Kind of day that'd make the local Chamber of Commerce proud to advertise.

Maybe we should consider ourselves an RV club ...

From right to left: Roger, me, Daryl, Bryan ... and Dusty's hidden on the far end.

Josh slept in the OZ tent and the Dixon's opted for a luxury motel room in town.

As a hack amatuer philosophizer, poet, and creative writer ... I truly 'preciate ... and respect ... the clever use of words on this trail marker sign.

This is how the day went followin' Dusty and Tommy ...

ev'ry time Dusty would take the "stupid" line ... they'd both turn 'round to make sure I did the same. :grinpimp:

We decided one more easy trail to end our halfday excursion and Bryan started up a 3+ trail ...

... and got lost ...

... and Dusty made a turn up a section of one of them 5+ trails the Black Sheep cut ...

Crawlin' and Flexin'.

Even hindered by the Three Stooges spottin' 'im ...

James Dixon did a DAMNED impressive job of fightin' the butt-ugly lil' mini all the way to the top under it's own power.

:flamingo:

... and then proceeded to flop the damn thang on the friggin' exit trail that we'd done been down a half-dozen times over the weekend ... Lord have mercy.:rolleyes:

With a lil' help from Dusty's winch we got 'er back on it's feet ... sportin' a few fresh dents.:lol:

'Round noonday, it was time for hugs and kisses and ev'rybody headed back to reality ...

'Cept I just couldn't do it.

I didn't wanna let go.

Didn't wanna admit that 'nother season was done.

So ...

By Gawd ...

Me and Debbie fought off the inevitable for one more night ...

Ran the Cruiser to the end of the Inn's property and loaded up some Oak trees ...

But now it's done ... the 2007 season's in the books. :frown:

It was a good year for The White Trash though and The Movement's stronger than ever.

Ain't none of us can explain it ... ain't none of us needs to.

I'm just proud to be a part of it ....
