Hey guys I need a little help... I am looking for a either 60, 62 or 80 for a project/DD/trail rig and I was wondering what y'all thought about this? If I could get it for around $3,300 it would work for me. It needs some TLC in the rust/paint department but I have some people that can help me do that at my dads shop. Also needs lockers :(

So is this a good start? anything else I should be looking for?

I'm sure you thought of it already, but there would be insurance on a second ride if its more than just a dedicated trail rig.

You'd sell your FJ after just putting bumper and lift on it?
 
The 470 looks good, but if your going to consider selling your fj you could probably spend just a little more and get a lot lower mile unit if it's going to be a DD

yeah but adding another vehicle to my policy wont be that much.... and yes in a heart beat :cool:

hmm I guess I need to keep looking. This one was just really clean and already lifted with tires for cheap.. plus my daily drive is 3 miles each way to work :flipoff2:

Personally, I'm on the hunt for an 80 for a trail rig, but really want this 60 in OKC for a garage queen

Yeah I really want a 60 just to cruise around in also but the money is not right. But yeah I want to stop modding my FJ and get something else bc honestly I do not like it that much anymore :doh:

Then you need to talk to Lance. I think he just got an 80 that he is looking to unload. I haven't seen it yet but it was on it's way here a while back.

I'll be keeping the FJC, since I don't want to calculate, nor admit what I have in it to sell it.
Was ordering the rear axle today, but put on hold for 80 acquisition. Tired of dumping money in it, but don't want to be rid of it. Will SAC someday, then gain respect here amongst the true LCs.

Finding an economical (enough to really wheel it) 80 has become frustrating. I'm buying to build and keep, so don't want a piece of s***, but don't want to spend 12k on something with 150k miles, because the owner thinks its "rare".

I love addictions, I hate to say, and glad that the overall economy has severely hampered expendable cash or I'd own ten of the damn things right now, be SACing the FJC and a 100, all because they'd be awesome to drive, build, restore, modify, and wheel. Hahaha. Hopefully I can become disenfranchised soon.
 
I hear 100s are the new 80s.

I feel ya, but I'm leaning towards a 55. If I could ever find one. But I would want it as an around the town car.
