Saw a thread on the main mud page, thought I'd share.
From SCDMV web site:
Beginning April, 2007 owners of certain motor vehicles thirty years old or older can apply to the Department to use a license plate issued by this State in the year corresponding to the model year of the vehicle. Upon approval, these “Year of Manufacture” plates will be used on the vehicle as a regular license plate. These plates can only be used on automobiles and light trucks with a GVW of 11,000 lbs. or less and an empty weight of 9,000 lbs. or less.
I found a set of 1972 plates on ebay for $10. Called Dmv and luckily the number combo was available so as soon as I get my tax receipt I'll be sending in the paperwork to run my vintage tag!
RCL = "rock crawling Landcruiser" How perfect is that.lol
