If any one cares, PIG on Pirate finally got back with me. He said he can pretty much do anything, he just needs a sample. Also, he recommends 4340 over 300M cause 300M is a lot more $$$ and 4340 is plenty strong.

I've run 38.5 tires for over 2 years....1st year with Newfields (uugh) 2nd year with Longfields. ZERO breakage on the stock inner shafts. ZERO.

I do have a set or 4340's from polyperformance coming tho...hopefully shipping tomorrow.

My Longfield said "fawk you inner" and this is the results :P

He didn't say. Don't you love it when people don't answer all your questions in emails? ::) Especially when you ask more than once. >:(

Brian, do you know if PIG can put longer splines on the long side for the factory locker? $220 for a pair is not too bad comparing to building up a pair of D60's.

Got his contact info?

I'm not Brian, but he said he can do just about anything, he just needs a sample. This is his website:

Also, PIG didn't tell me the price on custom one offs, but I'm sure they're more than $220.

Let us know if you find anything more. It might be better to just call him. Matter fact, I might just do that. :)

$220 a pair was his intro price on the Gen I's....pretty sure they'll be more now...but either way, I felt his design criteria for the shafts was better than the others out there. His are made by Superior and from PBB readings, they are the "recommended" manuf over Moser and the others...
