Christmas Party - unofficial

One thing we talked about at the last meeting was no Christmas party this year. Apparently the debate over dues is still a sore subject with some. This seems unfortunate to me, so what I am proposing is an informal get together. Club will not pay anything lets just get together. Post up if you like this idea and if there is enough interest I'll try to find us a central place. Such as Old Chicago, Fargo's (for the racing game, not the food ) and any other suggestions.

I like the idea of going to a new place for the Christmas party. Some of us don't get out much and like to try new places.

I talked to the manager at Nawlins Barbeque at First and Main (Powers and South Carefree). She said that we could hold the party there.

I'm sure that most any restaurant will host it depending if they have the night already booked or not.

Since I (secretary) organized the Christmas party in 2009, Chuck (El Presidente') organized the Christmas party 2010, I'm electing Leon (V.P.) to pick a place for 2011.

Centrally located. Completely unofficial, and we can't pay for a banquet room. Totally on your own for meal prices, so get what you want.

Nawlins sounds cool. Jose Muldoons downtown? Applebee's GOG location? Rudy's BBQ? (Mmmmm...Bar B Que!....) Old Chicago's was easy.

Normal meeting date is Tuesday the 20th, so that's kind of a no brainer, maybe. We'll just have to see.

Just throwing it out there but if ya'll would like to meet at my place this friday we can have a little party. We were thinking of it anyway. We can watch the movie on my plasma, drink some beers (will probably get a keg if enough people are coming) and have a great time. Got a grill so we can do BYOmeat lol.

My place is off the main drag in Old co city so it would be easy for you guys in the woods and us in the city. Plenty of parking along the street. Sorry I haven't had much interaction with the club yet and this would be a great way!
