I noticed the choke cable grommet has three small holes to possibly allow some type of mounting hardware that would support the choke cable. Is there supposed to be something there that I may be missing?

I have noticed those holes myself on several occasions and wondered myself Robert. My WAG is that the grommet fits another application where wires pass through the same hole in the firewall.
