I have a Chicago electric electric pipe threader that has been working out well. I've managed to break couple of the teeth on the 3/4" die and read somewhere that a Rigid manual pipe threading tool die teeth will work. Well, this hasn't been the case so I finished up the project with the Rigid manual threader with brand new Rigid teeth.
Has anyone replaced the teeth on the HF electric pipe threading tools? HF doesn't sell them, which isn't surprising. You can see in one of the pic, the Rigid tooth sticks out way past where the HF tooth. Rigid has a notch and HF doesn't. I'd have to machine the Rigid tooth down to match the size of the HF tooth but I'd like to find an alternative first!!
