After Moab - my alignment was off
After Tall Corn - my alignment was PHUCKED!

I have a "Lifetime Alignment" through Firestone that says that I can go to any Firestone in the USA for as long as I own my truck, and get a 100% free alignment. ...FAWKING Firestone

...Took my truck to Firestone a few weeks ago to get the alignment fixed - informed them of my lifetime alignment. They say no problem. I drop my truck off, and go home to wait. By the time I get home (10 minutes) they call me to inform me that due to my tire size and suspension lift that they have to use "special adapters" to do my alignment, and that using these "special adapters" will cost me $169 on top of what my "Lifetime Alignment" covers. I tell them very nicely to go fxxx themselves, and to stop whatever they're doing - I'm coming to get my truck.

I found a local place that I was told specializes in alignments on big trucks - Fire Trucks, Tow Trucks, etc - and that lifted 4WD trucks are no problem. I call them - they tell me it's no sweat. I brought my Tacoma to them this morning. They put my truck on this big bad ass computerized alignment lift thing - dial my truck in perfectly - I'm out the door in 30 minutes for $65 ! ! ! ! :D

Anyone in the Chicagoland area that needs an alignment - I highly recommend these guys.

Jamie, thanks for the tip. I was just about to check out firestone just because of the liftime thing. I will go to this place instead.

Man you all got screwed. Ive been to 5 different firestones with my 4runner in all forms from stock ifs to cranked ifs on 35's, to sas and 37's with hydro! the only thing they cant do is get the thingies on my beadlocks, so I go in with my 35" at's.

Ive never even had to argue!

:flipoff2:

I've also got the Firestone lifetime alignment on my 80, but when I wanted my caster correction bushings installed right, I took it to Todd at Thalmann Alignment. I've been bringing my cars and trucks here for many years. Just a heads up, Todd only takes cash or checks, no credit cards.
