I've been dealing with a parasitic voltage loss of a while now and I've had to use my National Luna battery controller to self jump several times. The other night walking past the truck I noticed the ignition ring light was on. I hadn't driven the vehicle in several hours and thought this to be a bit odd.
What controls that light? If I can't fix the circuit I may pull the connector or bulb, but that could mean something else related could still be activated.
The current starting battery is less than a year old. I have a second battery that's a few months old and an alternator that is also just a few months old. The original alternator was not charging the batteries at full voltage and had to be replaced. The second battery failed soon after and wasn't able to keep a charge.
