I talked to solar and they recommended putting in a diode to prevent back feeding to the 24 battery bank. The issue is the model I have was designed as an equalizer, not a voltage regulator. They make units that are designed to out put a constant voltage at varying inputs. The unit I have was designed to half or double the input voltage. The POT should only be used a calibration device.
So I am going to throw a big ass diode in line and crank up the voltage via the POT and see what happens.
