If I change the stock factory head unit out for an aftermarket one, how do I determine what the correct specs are for new aftermarket speakers, such as impedance, power, etc?

As I understand, when you stay with the factory head unit, you have to find aftermarket speakers that have the same impedance as the factory speakers. Do I still need to use that same impedance if I have an aftermarket head unit?

I'm not looking to run new wiring, etc. I just want to remove the old speakers and replace them with same-fitting aftermarket's.

Nothing to be concerned about, all head units are designed to work with 4-Ohm speakers.

Aside from component speakers, all car speakers will be 4-Ohms. Power ratings are ambiguous.

Don't waste you time and money, get the Pioneers on Ebay,PIONEER TS-G1044R and PIONEER TS-G1644R and a Single DIN Headunit with Bluetooth and your all set.
Speakers are easy to put in if you have a dremel tool for the rears.
They sound 10X better than stock.
Make sure you unhook amp under passenger kick panel and to rear woofer or you will blow fuse under hood.
Get the Wiring Harness from Mantra ($10 shipped from Best Buy) so you don't have to cut into factory harness.
