My wife has a really bad habit of pushing this button with her knee when she drives my LC. I am really afraid that she is going to cause serious damage and I would like to relocate the button. Has anyone on here done this or have a suggestion? thanks

I believe there are a few threads in this forum about that topic. You can always relocate it to the blank on the passenger side. Take apart the dash, extend the wires (there might be enough wire already but not sure), and dremel out the blank so the button with fit. Or do the same and put it in another location like down by the shifter. Easy fix!

I engaged mine with my knee about a week ago and thought that it was in a silly spot. I wonder if you could just swap it with one of the other buttons that are right there? Are they they same size button? I'd much rather hit the antenna or emergency lights than the diff lock.

Edit: at least on my '07 it looks like the antenna and diff lock buttons are the same size and therefore potentially swappable. The emergency light button is larger and a different profile. The diff lock is at just the right height for my big knee to hit, it would be safe an inch higher...

Funny, I do this too. I'm 6'6" and every time I get in the truck after my wife drives it I blast that button with my knee. One time I wasn't paying attention and drove about 10 miles on dry pavement with the CD locked. DOH!
