I spent some time refreshing my center console these last couple of weeks. I first designed a larger cupholder to hold my yeti rambler and iphone 17. The stp file is available on Cults3d.com for download.
Secondly, I had a few broken Latches, so I bought some off of amazon.com that were inexpensive. I noticed that Toyota uses the same clip design throughout varies car models, so it’s pretty easy to source online.
The leather on my lid was in tough shape so I decided that I wanted to replace it. Initially I was going to retrofit another lid with similar dimensions but it was difficult to find one with similar dimensions. I thought a Honda civic lid that I found online was a good match, but the length was too long, so then I ended up removing the vinyl off the Honda lid and using it on the LC lid, which worked great!
Lastly, I cleaned the central console and sprayed some SEM 39863 plastic adhesion promotor followed by spray painting SEM 15303 Graphite Color Coat.
Overall, a few small upgrades that made a big difference in refreshing the interior!
