I had good luck repairing my broken cd player through a service I found on E-Bay...
The guy repaired it by replacing the cd changer portion of the unit with a new changer. Cost was about $190.
It has worked perfectly since then...It is really easy to pull out and took about 10 days total turnaround time door to door...
