Great instruction write up!!! here is a video showing these same steps for those who like to watch an install before tackling it themselves. One big difference is we use the Firestik MU8R18 18′ EZ-Install CB Coaxial Cable and it does not require a ground at the antenna.

Anyone experimented with using copper anti-seize to improve your ground?

A few local guys I know swear by it.

I know this is an old thread but I'm wondering if anyone who mounted a CB to a bandi mount ever had an issue with CB transmissions causing the doors to unlock?

I have my antenna on a bracket that mounts to the spare tire carrier studs. And every time I transmit I my door locks cycle.

It's well grounded, I have continuity from the bracket to the frame and my swr reading is around 1.3-1.5. I had a different antenna on that I couldn't get below swr 3 and it wasn't doing it then....
