Even though I rotate my tires every 8K miles I am getting cupping and feathering, not bad but it is there. These are Michelin LTX Mud/Snow original equipment with 6/15 teenth wear left and around 50K miles on them. Any suggestions? My LX rides great if I did not see the miminal cupping and feathering I would not know it was happening. Thanks

I have not done alignment since I bought it with 38K miles now has 53K miles. I have rotated every 9K miles. I run tire pressure based on the owners manual. So with only 6/15th left on the tires should I now do a 4 wheel alignment and balance all 4 wheels or wait until I need new tires and then do the alignment and have the new tires balanced.

Get the alignment and balance done now.

That way if is more complicated like a suspension issue ect.. You'll get it taken care of before the $1000 worth of new shoes go on.

Alignment techs will do a good job at inspecting the front end for other problems as well. I like a specialty shop for alignments rather than a dealer.

also if you do it now, they can check your tires for how they're wearing. It helps them know what to adjust if everything is within spec already.

Getting it aligned and all 4 balanced in the morning. If it is off it can't be much it drives smooth and straight but I figured since I have never had it aligned or had the tires balanced it was time.

I got my tires installed at Sears and have lifetime rotation and balance. Also get my alignments done there. So far their service has been great.

Initially i was worried because they did not have a road force machine but they told me if they cold not get the front end right they would pay for it to go to a shop with a road force machine.

I would highly recomend your local Sears.

I don't think of the shock on the LX like a regular shock. But I guess you guys are right I did recently change the fluid in the AHC system and it does ride better which could effect the tire wear. But on my truck the alignment was out and needed to be corrected plus my tires did need to be balanced. Thanks for all the help guys.
