Removed the rear side cargo windows to take care of some surface rust on the sill. I'm having a glass company come out next week to replace the windshield and install the cargo windows at the same time. The guy said his install guide says that a sealant is supposed to be used when installing the weatherstrip and cargo windows. I know when I removed the windows there was none. Depending where and how much sealant he puts on I am concerned that it may damage the headliner if the window ever needs to be removed in the future. I have a 91 with one piece glass (not sliding) which has plastic clips that fasten the headliner around the upper window sill. Should sealant be used to install the cargo windows and weatherstrip?
