I am rebuilding and repainting my FJ60, and wanted to use MILSPEC paint for it, I beleive its called CARC...I live in Charleston SC, and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to whom does this, how much is needed for this car, etc, etc...any insights would be appreciated!! Thanks....Troy

Thanks for your response..what should I be looking at then? I want the gritty texture / flat color / rust proofing qualities of the MILSPEC paint...should I be looking at powdercoating?? I am new to this paint stuff..any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated..Thanks..Troy

The CARC that the military uses is a Sherwin Williams product. It's sold by the gallon (about $75 per) and is applied straight (no thining, no hardners etc.)

The pictured MRAP was painted in MIL-DTL-53039B, Type I in Black
