Carb Question - 79 Pig

    I have a '79 desmogged Pig with what seems to be a stuck float (gas flooding out of bowl vents and completely full sight glass). What is my best option here? I tried percussive maintenance (tapped it with a rubber mallet) with no luck. Should I get a pre-smog carb to reduce all of the vacuum tubes (would that even fit?), rebuild the current carb, get a new float, or just try to mess w/ the old float first? I have rebuilt carbs before, but none with so many frickin' doodads coming off of it!

    Answer depends on whether you just want to fix your problem, or if you want a good carb. I personally don't like the 79-80 model. It can be improved, but only to a point.

    Older, newer, and non-US are all better options IMO.
