I have the Aisan toy 500 carb on my 22R. I think it is the original one. is this a pretty good carb? I have rebuilt it and it seems to work great, but when it gets to operating temp it is hard to start. I am thinking about buying another carb. What do yall recommend? stick with the one I got? a Holley? a Weber? what does everyone else run?

thanks guys!!

Probably easier to fix what you have, instead of switching.... There's a thread on Webber carbs on another board I belong to, and it's over 100 pages I think..... If the fruck isn't a daily driver, then feel free to tinker, but if it is, stick with stock.

It is a daily driver, but I dont have to worry about emissions so I can run whatever. I have a Holley on the jeep and it fires off first time everytime (beats the hell out of that rochester) I really want that kind of reliability.
