So Marshall at THC got
Me taken care of and shipped me a new carb, looks like it'll be here tomorrow or Friday. Anyone want to help me install it this weekend who is coherent on the install? If not I'll end up getting it towed somewhere, just thought I toss it out there. Can pay you for your time.

I would, but I'm working all weekend...Starting a roof tomorrow and want to get it done before the rain .

WAIT TO TOW IT ! Changing the carb is not worth the cost to tow and have someone else do it. I'll figure out how to make some time - and others will also - so we can change it WITH YOU. NOT for you..... that's what being a LC owner is all about.

It might take a couple of days before we can coordinate it - but we'lol make it happen.

You can provide the beer....

If you like that, innis and gunn bourbon cask. The spiced rum cask too. Hard to get around here, but I know the wine company guy who can get it. It's amazing!

@ErikinSC would probably be happy to get some courdory pants with (insert whatever obnoxious pattern that is available) on them!

Ok ok, I'm just jealous that he can rock them & I can't.....

I talked to Marshall and found out what the problem is. There's a plastic screen inside the carb inlet that basically melts with ethenol . Then blocks flow to the carb.
Explains why it was running lean before, also.

Can that screen be taken out without tearing it apart? Also will do randy. I saw that before as well on mud. My only problem with that theory is the carb fuel window was low from the beginning. And the guy at the shop said the fuel pump accelerator or w/e in the carb was weak. But maybe that was the end factor to a bunch of other problems it had. Idk...

Also I had 3 tanks of gas on that carb. First was with ethanol last two were ethanol free. Not sure if that is helpful info.

@Trollhole - is the screen removable? I try to run ethanol free gas, but occasionally it cannot be found.

Obviously your self worth value is too high; lower it and rock these pants.

Spinx is awesome. Yea my boss has a 86 jeep he bought brandnew in 86 it has 12 k miles on it, garage kept. He said few years ago he let it sit a long time and the ethanol tore it up. He had to replace all the lines. So when he told me that two weeks ago I decided to try to only run ethanol free.

@dustin weaver, I've only met you once, but I like you enough to provide you with some guidance...DO NOT allow this group to pick the beer, the amount of beer, and stick you with the tab. It would be cheaper for you to fly Marshal and one guest down to Charleston (first class), 2 nights downtown, and personally install the carb. You've been forewarned.

Well, for the right beer I would go by Marshalls house, kidnap him and deliver him to where said beer would be.....you just coordinate a place for us to pass out & a breakfast the next morning that includes eggs, toast & an offensive amount of bacon (if that is possible).

There is no such thing as an offensive amount of bacon. I'm offended by the suggestion!

Well it could be to some folks, specifically those that think pigs make better pets than food....Must be that time of the month for you.....I'll mark that on my calendar for future reference! :pig::pig::pig:

The screen is only accessible with the top of the carb off. I'm having mine removed before he sends it to me.
