Have had my CTT for about 4 months or so now. Not taken it on the trail much yet, been sitting outside on my trailer. (Most of the time with a tarp on.) Had a look today and noticed that the cover is getting worn at the top corners. Seems like the bungee underneath is very strong and is pulling the cover hard on the sharp metal corners. I untied the bungees and I put some padding under the cover on the corners. May want to have a look at yours?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. Maybe a couple of layers of duct tape on the inside corners will do the trick.

Love the Mombasa, but after some use, I'm seeing where the little design extras are lacking.

my cover is some sort of treated fabric or canvas

added: that's the later model for me. I think the rubber one was the earlier one.

I've got the same problem. I figured I'd replace it with canvas when it's shot. cbmontgo how did you score the rubber/canvas, when the rest of us got the cheaper fabric?

I'm not sure. I bought it in September when there was that $ 325 deal going around.
