Had a nice little weekend in Capitol Reef NP. Drove a little of the Cathedral valley loop and met a few nice serious overlanders.

Full report on Oppositelock

A side note, I got a new record low MPG; 9.7! I was pulling a 3300 lbs popup trailer against a 30 mph headwind over 8000 ft passes.

Coming back without the headwind over the passes I got a respectable 12.8. The new 4.56 gears and the top end re-build doing their jobs. I had...for the most part...plenty of towing power keeping 65-70 in most places in 3rd with a minimum speed of 50 mph over the steeper passes in 2nd. I never had the AC thermally kick out and it pulled confidently. 4.56 and 33's is a decent towing combo
