Ok fellas. I cruised over to Cap Toyota today to buy parts for my head gasket. I spoke with parts manager Noe Flores. He hooked it up! In the process I let him know that most of us here in SoCal will purchase parts for our trucks from other dealership due to "Mud" discount prices. He offered us 30% off all parts. No shipping costs. And if you place your order by 430 and the part or parts are in the warehouse the order will be at Cap Toyota early morn the next business day.

Is that a good deal? Are you guys getting a better deal at another Toyota dealership??? If so I'm sure we can try to get an even better SoCal price.

Good to know. The last guy there to offer a discount to cruiserheads (Sean) isn't there any longer BECAUSE he was offering the discount!

Will certainly ask for Noe in the future. I'll typically still always support CDAN because of all his generous support, time and expertise over the years, but in a quick emergency, I'll go down to Capo.

Brent. You are correct about the wealth of knowledge CDan and Onur have. I spoke to Onur and he was ready to offer as much help as possible with my head gasket fix since he has done seven total.

what's the actual (%) discount at CDan's location? same?

American Toyota. Sponsor here in the ads at the upper right. There are a lot more dealers now matching Dan's discount, but you will not find better knowledge, service and parts availability anywhere IMHO.

Dan does 25% of published Toyota list prices. As do I.

I would ask your local Toyota dealership if they are discounting off of published list or an escalated price.

Do your due diligence. Lots of people will say anything to get a sale.

:)

And I agree with Brent....Cdan is the best of the best. We are lucky to have him as our friend.

"escalated price" This is important when pricing comparing. I’ve found my local Toyota dealer inflates Toyota's published price 30% to 50% on parts.

Yep, 30% off of list is a whole different deal than 30% off over the counter rates. It's best to go to the dealership already knowing what list price is and if they won't offer you that, walk away.

Toyota of Riverside is way over MSRP. I avoid them like the plague.
