Cant get to passenger mirror bolts? help?

My passenger mirror broke on my 85 4runner and i cant get to the bolts that mount it to the door because the terra firma is in the way! any advice cause i cant drive home past suburban police with a broken mirror or ill get in trouble................

The plastic mirrors screw on from the outside.... I'd say you should flip it over first.....
