Share any good recipes that are quick and easy with (mostly) canned goods.

One of my all-time favorite lunch snacks is a grilled ham&cheese with a bowl of Campbell's select harvest tomato soup loaded with cracked pepper. Hits the spot and satiates for hours.

a sandwich and soup from a can = recipe?

any rules or restrictions? can I use ingredients that may be considered "exotic" in some parts of the country, like hoisin or oyster sauce or chorizo?

 No, a can of soup and a sandwich is a snack. I have a recipe book called "cooking in a can" that my grandmother gave to me because she thought it had a cartoon landcruiser in it (nice thought, but it isn't one). It's an overly simplistic kids book, but to their credit some of the stuff is really good. It makes me think there are probably quite a few things out there that you can make quickly and easily with a canned base and a few additions.

a very simple, but very tasty pasta sauce...

there are several on the net, but here's a link to one of the recipes...

can of beans, can chopped jalapeños, can of corn, fresh onion

bag of chips

easy, fast, almost healthy, almost filling, cheap

you can get fancy and add a can/jar of salsa as well or instead of the jalapeños

two cans of green beans, a few slices of ham, piece of bacon if available, pinch of cayenne, pinch of oregeno, pinch of basil, salt, pepper, pat of butter.... bring to a boil and let simmer for an hour. amazing.

add those canned fried onion thingies and some cheeze sauce...

lips and assholes never tasted so good...

A Man, A Can, and A Plan.

Its a cookbook that my mom bought me when I moved out. Got me through college. I still pull a gem or two out of it when Im feeling lazy or the family is gone.

BARF.

I cannot stand canned/packaged tuna. Sashimi tuna is very good, but that processed/cooked/canned s*** is hurlworth.

NCD that tomato sauce was fxxxing amazing.
