C3 = ≤ 1989

Planning for the 1st (potentially annual) Canadian Clunker Classic is underway and you’re invited to attend. This year, CCC will be starting in Princeton, British Columbia on July 15th and ending up in Mission in time to partake in the Coastal Cruiser’s Cruiser Day on July 20th. Details are still being sorted out, but the following is established:

1. Maximum 10 4x4 equipped vehicles will be included in the official run this year. Thats ten, not 416. Early Bird registration is available on a first come first served basis for all vehicles manufactured in 1989 or before. This includes ANY 4x4 vehicle make, not just Toyota. Early Bird registration runs from April 10th for a grand total of 27 days (1+9+8+9). After this time, subject to the number of available spots, registration will open up to 1990 and newer 4x4 vehicles. Interested individuals with 1990 and newer vehicles are encouraged to add their names to the waiting list as these applicants will also be admitted on a first come first served basis. To register, please submit your vehicle details to ratpuke @ gmail.com Any last minute cancellations will cause you to forfeit your registration eligibility for eternity. We don’t mess around.

2. We will be running the Whipsaw and other nearby trails. These are suitable for most stock vehicles, although some vehicle modifications including larger than stock tires and a winch is recommended. We can manage if need be if you decide to bring your winch-less stock 1904 Cottamobile, but be prepared for your vehicle to gain some wear and tear. No previous off-road experience is particularly required for the driver; however, if you have no idea how to even lock your hubs, please have that figured out by the time we leave pavement. If you have no idea where to find your hubs and you really want to come, I suggest you email to find out if any co-pilot seats are available. For you more experienced folks, fear not, there are trail options available that will enable you to have some fun as well.

Interested parties are encouraged to email ratpuke @ gmail.com sooner than later for more information on the planned itinerary and/or to register.

Per my e-mail, I'm in. Hope I can get the pig running and registered by then.

Adam says he's out, cause your not dedicated to the cause letting new vehicles apply after your early bird deadline :hillbilly: I assumed Cruiser days was on the 27th of July as that is what is says in the CC calender. I'll see if I didn't make any plans, although I might have to out law it since I am like Adam and if too many 90's or newer sign up, I may have to boycott. :hillbilly: I don't know what I will do if a YJ signs up ;)

Quit being a dink and sign up. :)

ha. This dink is anti new school and if you have 4 old school trucks then 6 new schoolers, this would make me sad and I would simply end up drinking my face off in sorrow all weekend, then I would crash into a tree and it wouldn't be pretty ;) I'm all about safety you know :hillbilly:

:lol:

Dang. Doubt I'll have a weeks worth of holiday time built up at the new job, otherwise an old school wheeling trip sounds fun.

Figure I'll be at cruiser days though.

Cruiser Days is July 20, the park had to change our date after the first batch of calendars went out. The second batch of calendars has the correct date.

I'd love to go but I know I'll still be swamped at work then. We'll see you at Cruiser Days though!

:beer:

Yeah see I was planning the 27th, and sorta made plans for the 20th (something about packing food and equipment with our trucks for a bunch of girls wanting to ride the tumbler trail on their horses ;) ), so will see how things pan out, might have to outlaw the old school run, then miss cruiser days to make the horse run, not sure what I will get up to quite yet. Also depends on work though.

Read between the lines..... get's a GF and suddenly his life is complex, multiple demands on his time, unsure of what will happen, sounds like love to me.

Ahh, l'amour :o

It's all over now, Deny, I'm going to have to live a free life vicariously through someone else now. :grinpimp:

Ha, she knows that as soon as I start missing wrenching time and wheeling time, things will be changing ;)
