You know, other peoples cars have stereos too, but it is nice of you to make sure they didn't have to drive in silence.

Running a bit late this morning, should be about 15 min late

give me a shout if you're heading out 250 886 8370

Despite the rain, we had a great run! Thanks Graham for leading the way and bringing/cooking the tasty burgers. Thanks Jordan for the fire. Was a good group and a good time. Lake was beautiful.

I didn't take many pictures on this run, but maybe if someone else has pics they can post 'em up.

Unfortunately Cruiserpilot had some electrical gremlins when he arrived in Sooke, so decided to head back home and troubleshoot rather than risk further problems in the bush.

Great trip other than the rain.
4 trucks in total,
My bj70
Gtssportcoupes lj78
Sweatyforeheads hj60
And my friends 94 ranger

Nothing too bad as far as being stuck or trucks breaking. I ended up with a small ding on my front fender, and two broken wiper blades. Sweatyforehead had to break out the tow strap and the high lift a couple times to get going, mostly due to bald tires. but overall it went great for being wet rocks the whole way.

heres the first challenge, an ever growing sinkhole in the road.

he got a little stuck in the campsite, got the u-bolts dug into a stump

heading back around the wall

Picture Time!
Starts off with Gtssportcoupes LJ78 Hitting the wall

Went down to 25psi again. The Prado walked through everything on this run with no issues at all. I think a lot of it is just me learning the truck and it's capabilities better. This run was more challenging than Donner. Less pucker though, as there were no dangerous drop offs like at Donner.

Nice work boys. The spring under Ublots can really hang a guy up, especially when the burrow into a stump. I remember having to jack up and winch Keith's 74 (Koops) off a stump. Truck didn't even look stuck, just had a Douglas Fir e-brake.

Also good to see the lake is still accessible. I'm guessing you were all able to drive right up Anderson?

That's exactly what the problem was. Given his low clearance, Jordan didn't shy away from any challenge though, and surprised us how well he did. I think replacing the worn 29" tires with 31"-33" is next on his list of improvements, and will transform the capabilities of his 60. I think he bent most of his u-bolts on this run...and I saw his diff's take a few hits.

Yup, we got lucky and the gate was open in and out. Although it got locked literally right after we drove out.
