What’s also weird is that the later driveshaft has a different flange pattern, so you have early pattern t case and diff flanges. Does the rear diff and t case flange look the same as the front?

Thank you so much for this! The DS won’t attach when the axle is where it is supposed to be (which I am sure you assumed). So yeah, gonna have to get another DS - but knowing that it can be added later and will fit without having to mess with the axle again is good news.
