Without Major Modifications?

In short no. Even if the mechanical issues can be resolved making the motor run without all the input for traction control, stability contol and the rest would be a major electronics nightmare. As well as security. There is no way to reprogram ECU's or remove the security and the rest of the features.

To the newly-posting OP: I think one thing you may be misinformed about is the longevity of the 2UZ. If you're considering a future swap at 250k miles because the 2UZ will likely be "worn out," you're on the wrong track there. It's conceivable that you may only be half-way there at 250 k! At the very least, if properly maintained, there are numerous examples of 2UZs running past 400K..................

Thanks for all of the information, everybody! It's clearly gonna take me several years to climb atop the plateau of knowledge & experience y'all have been playing on for years. Good luck to all of you in your own projects, and thanks again for taking the time to respond to a newb like myself. Thanks for opening my eyes and helping me to adjust my expectations to fit reality. Now it's time to make the money needed to get where I want to be. Have a great weekend!

The 100 series is pretty damn good... i got mine at 262k from original owner; and now is 301k and still run strong... last 20k i have been pulling 3600lbs trailer crossing country road trip with no issues. I was thinking the same as you to swap to 3urfe... but there are so much more into the mod. I was thinking of buying a completed salvage tundra or sequoia to swap... The 2uzfe have to completely give out on me then I would do this mod.
