Can I remove this bracket or will leak oil everywhere?

On my 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 62 I believe this bracket was for the automatic transmission. I’d like to remove the bracket and bolts but I’m afraid since it goes to the block it will leak oil? Can anyone confirm thank you!

Put the bolts back in the holes and snug up, maybe add a little thread locker/sealant.
That is the access plate in the block where the manual fuel pump would go…like on the 2F motors. It’s an open passage into the crankcase.

I discovered the same thing when removing all the auto trans stuff on my 62. Never knew the 3FE block had that access port on it.

overseas had 3F carbed engines, using a manual pump just like a 2F
